I will carry out my photo shoot on the weekend (06/12/2014 and 07/12/2014). I will follow the plans what I made earlier (Photo Shoot Ideas 18/11/2014). This includes dark clothing, music instruments, a blank, grey background and bright lighting to connotate with my genre, which is rock music. I know that this will make my magazine look and feel like a popular, mainstream magazine, and it will fit in besides the likes of Kerrang! and NME. My image must be a medium close up to comply with the conventions of popular mainstream magazines, and must be clear so that the target audience can easily recognise the artist in the image.
UPDATE (13/01/2015)
The images that I have taken comply with my planning, apart from a few errors. Such as, Shanice (my model) was not wearing dark clothing. This is not conventional of rock artists, however it shows her individuality, which represents my target audience (teenagers). I also haven't shown any instruments in my photographs, however Shanice is meant to be the front woman of a band, and therefore it would by unlikely that she has any instruments because she sings instead. My images are all medium close ups, which comply with the conventions of magazine front covers.
